About Daniel
I had some trouble when starting A-level Biology when I was 16, as the jump from GCSE is so big. It took a while to get a set of techniques together that, when repeated week after week, made the workload far more manageable and the information more understandable. I found a lot of pleasure in taking a big concept, such as immunity,Cell division or respiration, and making simplified visual tools that made all the elements of biology click into place, and helped link the concepts together for the second exam that requires a unified knowledge of Biology.
Although I'm now studying art at UCL, Biology A-level opened up a way of thinking for me that has lasted throughout my education, and I'm excited to pass on this knowledge to my students.

each lesson is an hour Long, and consist of working through the main concepts of a chapter, before using diagrams and organised note taking methods to digest and understand the intricacies of a chapter. I've found that tutoring in groups throughout my a-levels that this is the best way to process the vast amount of information in A-level biology; this is followed by 'blurting' where in the final 10-15 minutes, the information is recalled from memory as best as possible 2 or three times, which is proven to improve comprehension and ensure the information is committed to long term memory.
