About Alexandra
There is always progress with consistency. I value unique tutoring for each child to ensure they enjoy the process of studying and learning as well. That way, they can be consistent in their practice and have significant improvement. My lessons would help with ensuring the student understands the content so they can practice accurately and be motivated to do so consistently.
Over the years of being a student, and currently being one as well, it was quite rare to be in a learning environment that not only helped me excel academically but also motivated me to learn. So it is one of my ambitions to foster this teaching style in other students, to help make a good difference in their eagerness to learn as well as their grades.

My teaching techniques would involve using textbook worked examples for teaching the conceptual and theoretical material in a hands-on way, rather than the typical lecture. Then we would work through problems together so the student can develop confidence to tackle questions independently. I thoroughly enjoy working uniquely with each student so we can alter the process to highlight each student's best way of learning.
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and in the pre-medical track. I am now a current first-year medical student. So I have a strong maths and science background.
In addition to the academic qualifications, I also have 5+ years of experience tutoring maths to students of varying ages (5-15). This would include curriculums from basic maths to algebra and geometry.
The length of a lesson can vary to accommodate the student's needs but typically would last 45 min to 1 hour.
