About Kiran
Working with students ranging from elementary, middle, and high school and even working with students taking college courses, I have experience working with students at all sorts of different levels. I’ve worked with many core subjects and helped with SAT/ACT and MCAT prep, and what’s important to me is working with students to not only identify weak spots, but coming up with a plan with their goals in mind and keeping them accountable. It’s important for me to identify how they learn best and use that to help shape our academic plans.

Hi!
My name is Kiran, and I'm a current fourth-year MD medical student with nearly a decade of tutoring experience since 2015. I've worked with students from elementary school through college in a wide range of subjects, including English and essay writing, Spanish, math (pre-algebra through calculus) biology, chemistry, and biochemistry, history, and standardized test prep (SAT, ACT).
I also have experience working with students who have learning differences or are on IEPs. My tutoring style focuses on active engagement and hands-on learning-tailoring each session to the student's individual needs and building their confidence through practice.
I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in History, as well as a background in mechanical engineering and statistics , and earned a 3.91 GPA. I also scored a 1440 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT, and I recently passed the USMLE Step 1 board exam.
