About Emily
I have 4 years of experience mentoring young musicians and have a younger sister that I am actively mentoring on violin. I have attended UW-Whitewater strings camp in 2023. I have also been to Interlochen Arts Camp which is a very prestigious summer camp, there I played and studied with some of the best teachers in the world in 2024 and will be attending again summer of 2025. I have been in Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra for 2 years now, providing me with an opportunity to challenge myself and grow as a musician, further than my school's orchestra. Additionally I have been doing Solo and Ensemble for 4 years now and have progressed to state this year.

I love working with kids wanting to learn violin or viola! I have mentored 5th graders in the fall for 4 years now through school. I have been playing viola for 6 years and violin for a year. I am a sophomore in high school wanting to pursue music as a career and hopefully have other people realize that music can be a career path for them too!
I would teach kids the basics and guide them in learning and reading sheet music as well as working on technique and ear training. I would provide a healthy environment where mistakes aren’t shamed, but encouraged! I would aim to establish a connection with my students that makes them excited to make music.
Lessons can be from 10-45 minutes.

Emily is amazing at playing viola and violin!! She plays in at least 4 ensembles that I know of, and her musicianship is phenomenal. She's so kind and easy to work with, I would recommend her to anyone, especially beginners.
