About Avalon
I'm just a high school student, though I will be graduating in May, but I have always excelled in English. When I took the ACT, my score for Reading was a 27. I've always been applauded by my teachers for my writing skills on essays and I hope to pass that on. Many people think that I should become an author and write my own book; I'm still thinking about it too.

My teaching method changes from person to person to fit their needs and how they learn. I'm not a harsh tutor and instead try to make the learning fun with metaphors or relating it to their life. I have a very flexible lesson plan because I will teach what the student is currently learning and add in some things that should be reinforced such as comma usage and synonyms. What sets me apart is that I'm still really young so I'm fairly in touch with who I teach. Speaking of which, I generally aim for younger students (elementary, middle school) as opposed to other high schoolers, however I'm not completely against it.

If asked to do something specialized such as test prep or to tutor a different subject than the one that I offer, depending on the subject, hourly rates may rise to $15 an hour.
