About Tasnim
I am a Columbia University student going into my final year, majoring in East Asian Studies and minoring in Political Science.
While these fields are unrelated to education, I have experience working with university applicants — primarily with personal statement advising, SAT prep, and timeline organization. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in high school, and thus I pursue a Masters in Education after completing my undergraduate degree.
I plan to take a human-centered approach, focusing on the individual with whom I work to truly unleash and highlight their potential.

I will work with you to create a plan for your university applications. I specialize in the American (Common App) system, but I also have experience in working with the U.K. (UCAS) system. We will go through essay-writing, creating a timeline for action plans, SAT preparation, and other advising needs.
Most importantly, I will tailor the lessons and timeline to you. We will work on identifying your strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly.
My lessons span 90 minutes per session, with a clear structure to maximize productivity and retention of the material covered.
I am happy to provide a trial lesson for free before we begin the course. For this trial session, let's discuss your wants as a student so that we can align the curriculum accordingly.
