About Vivian
I have been tutoring scholars between the grades of 7-12 for 8 years now. Throughout high school, I was a volunteer tutor and mentor for younger scholars and helped all of them achieve their goals in mathematics. I originally started tutoring as a volunteer for my National Honor Society requirements but learned to love it. Mathematics and English/ Grammar were my top scores on the ACT and I'm excited to help whoever I can in those subjects as well!!

- Techniques and Methods:
1.) Usually looking to tutor for at least 1 hour
2.) If a student is having trouble with a certain problem or concept we will make sure to review it multiple times throughout our session and then at the beginning of the next session to see if it stuck.
3.) Really like to take individuals' learning styles into consideration (hearing, seeing, physical, etc.)
- Typical Lesson Plan (mathematics example):
1.) Talk about whatever the student is struggling in
2.) 20 minutes teaching the formulas needed for the lesson and doing a few example problems together
3.) 20 minutes of student doing practice problems themselves and then reviewing them
4.) 20 minutes to go over the problems/ formulas/ concepts the student is having trouble grasping
- I have been a tutor and mentor to students for 8 years now and have helped many students with their courses. I've mostly been a math tutor, but I can also tutor in english, writing, and history courses.
- I can tutor any student under 18 and I can tutor Finite, Calculus, and Data Analysis to students enrolled in college
