About Jiyan
My love and passion for education was not always as it was today. At a young age I wasn't a fan of the education system as I felt I wasn't able to succeed. Until my family hired me a tutor who inspired me that despite who much I had fallen behind it was not too late to catch up which then led me to be part of the Oxbridge programme and receive an interview from Cambridge university.
I want to use these tips and tricks I've learnt over the years to excel in academics to help my students reach their full potential so they too can go on to achieve their goals no matter how big.
My teaching style is extremely adjustable and personal to the student to ensure they benefit from the lessons as everyone learns in a different way. I also carry out regular checks and balances to ensure improvements are being made and our lessons are productive.

I am currently a Law student at the university of reading and a prospective barrister, I am 19 and have a passion for education and teaching those around me that they too can achieve the highest.
I went from failing at the beginning of my secondary school to going on to get all 9/8/7 which are equivalent to A**/ A* /A, and getting an interview at Cambridge to study law. I was employed by my school during Year 11 and A levels to tutor the same students that were in my year and my peers. Hence why I feel I have the experience and knowledge to help any student reach what they deserve.
My teaching is adapted based on the students needs, as each pupil learn in different ways. However I begin by meeting the student and testing their abilities, from there we target gaps and ensure they reach their full potential. The typical length of a lesson is an hour, however this can be adjusted according to the students needs.
I can teach English, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, geography and Philosophy up to GCSE level and English, Psychology, Philosophy and politics at A level. I am also able to teach maths at a primary school level.
