As a teacher, I believe in a personalized approach to education that recognizes each student's unique abilities, interests, and prior knowledge. By explicitly teaching appropriate writing strategies and using a Model-Practice-Reflect instructional cycle, I aim to empower students to become effective writers. I understand that students learn in different ways and at different rates, so I strive to create learning experiences that challenge and support every student. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that a good teacher must understand motivation and the effects of peer interactions on learning. I am committed to being an effective diagnostician of students' interests and abilities, and I continuously examine my teaching methods to ensure that I remain connected to my students and their constantly changing worlds. By fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, I aim to inspire and empower students to achieve at high levels.
