About Cooper
I am a junior student-athlete at a Division III school, Trinity College, in Hartford, Connecticut. I graduated from Ramsey High School in Ramsey, NJ in 2018. I have been in all honors and AP classes from 4th grade on. I scored a 790 out of 800 on my mathematics part of my SAT. I have been tutoring grades 6-12 since my sophomore year of high school, so I have been able to learn the best ways to teach over a 5 year period now.

During a tutoring session with me, there are two phases during the lesson. The first phase is going over baseline math problems of the type that we are working on for that session. I will go step-by-step through the problem, asking questions along the way to keep the student engaged, until we reach our solution. Once we cover these baseline problems, the student will try some problems on their own, being able to ask any questions along the way. I like to focus on leading the student to the solutions, rather than just telling them what it is. This method has been the most helpful to me as a student through my mathematics education. These lessons are mainly for students grades 6-12, including classes such Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calc 1, along with SAT prep.
