About Stefanny
It was the gratification of a right and logical answer that sparked my passion for the subject and lead me to complete a degree in Mathematics. Sharing this passion with others is something I have always enjoyed since it brings such a rewarding feeling to know that I am enabling others to discover the beauty of the subject and to succeed in their academic careers.
I have mentored two EAL Year 11 students, helped them to improve on their core subjects, that is English, Maths and Science. As well as this I have also shadowed a Year 8 maths teacher, where I assisted in his lessons further explaining maths concepts to the students individually.
During my second year of university I was a PAL Mentor at the University of Leeds, a scheme in which I hosted a class of first year students each week, assisting their studies by helping them understand course material and providing support with question they found difficult.

My approach to tutoring will vary depending on the ability and the needs of each student. However, my main general aim will be to make the student comprehend the reason behind all the calculations as I believe this has two major benefits.
1. It will consolidate their knowledge and help to answer more challenging questions on their own.
2. They will start to enjoy the subject more and become more engaged, henceforth as a result they will also start to improve and get better results.
