About Josh
I believe that my experience attending and excelling in medical school has deepened my understanding of complex subjects and strengthened my problem-solving skills. The rigorous training required in medical education has instilled in me a disciplined approach to studying and teaching, ensuring that I stay organized and focused. This background allows me to break down challenging material into manageable parts, making it easier for students to grasp difficult concepts.
Additionally, teaching drum and music lessons for a living before medical school has further refined my instructional skills. Music education requires patience, creativity, and adaptability—qualities that are essential in any tutoring scenario. Tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style and providing constructive feedback has been central to my teaching philosophy. This has not only enhanced my ability to convey concepts effectively but also reinforced the importance of fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

My approach to helping others learn is unique in the fact that I understand that each student is an individual with specific needs. I am here to help you progress and meet your goals whether that is working towards that "A" grade in that tough biochemistry class, or if you just want some tips on how to study more effectively and get some of your free time back. Whatever your goals are, I can and will help you achieve them.
In our first meeting we will talk about what your specific goals are, what you are struggling with in your classes, and then make a plan of attack to efficiently and effectively meet those goals and overcome any boundaries standing in your way. We will also unravel whatever subjects you are struggling with and make them easier to understand. Overall, my goal is always to help students achieve their full potential while making learning an engaging and positive experience.
