About Esther
I am a music education major focusing in piano with experience in teaching, performing, music directing, and conducting. I was classically trained from age 4-18, and started teaching when I was 18. This included a year teaching at a school in New York, and currently teaching at a studio in New Jersey. Starting at age 14 I started accompanying, conducting, and music directing choirs and theater productions at the high school, community, and college level. I am very passionate about music education and piano technique and artistry, and get a lot of joy from teaching.

I teach classically with a focus on technique while building musicianship. I tailor my lessons to the passions and musical interests of my students (i.g. music theory, Disney music, composition.) I have experience and can work with all ages, starting at age four and including advanced classical students. I also have a lot of experience with neurodivergent and disabled students, and as a neurodivergent person myself can tailor lessons to be engaging and fun. Typically, a lesson would start with lesson book songs and include warm ups, and personal preference songs. Each lesson plan is tailored to the students interests and abilities. The bottom line is music can be fun, and engaging. Everyone should have the opportunity to explore and grow in skill in a safe space.
