About Gio
My name is Gio and I am about to enter my second year of medical school. I am in a combined DO/PhD program so if you have questions about medical school or obtaining a PhD, I can help with that! I want to be a pediatric cardiologist in my future. Some fun facts about me are I have 2 cats named Kiwi and Rigatoni and I am the middle child of 5 kids. In my free time, I love to go to the gym, draw and paint, and watch Netflix. Can't wait to learn more about you!

The way I tutor is I start by asking them what they know on a certain topic. I like to get a baseline before tutoring so I know I am hitting the weakest points. After that, I will teach the material, supplementing with images, videos if necessary, etc. I like to make this as interactive as possible, so I will then ask the student to repeat back to me as we are going through the lesson what they retained. We can repeat this process if they need or adapt by using different skills. We will then come up with questions together that hit the weakest points when I feel the student understands the lesson.
I am currently in medical school obtaining both my DO and PhD. Therefore, I have been forced to learn how to master studying while also learning how to be patient. I use a group to study in medical school and we tutor each other so I have a lot of experience in that regard. I also have experience tutoring biology while I was in college and had great success stories from my students.
The lessons are for high school or college students who need a little extra help with their studying.
