About Kelly
I have 12 years experience of working in FE with students making their applications to university through UCAS and I have also now been working in HE at Imperial College London for 3 years. In my many years working in FE I have managed the UCAS application cycle, which involved registering all students with UCAS, offering application and personal statement workshops, supporting academic staff with reference writing, proofreading, editing and providing feedback to students on personal statements and when applications were complete I would approve and submit them for consideration. Working in HE I also know what university admissions tutors are looking for and can provide helpful advice.
I have a 1st class undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I have in the past also tutored undergraduate students in criminology related subjects, criminal law and sociology. Alongside my current job I am also completing an MSc in Mental Health and Psychological Therapies.

I offer two areas of support with university entrance and UCAS personal statements:
1) discuss course choice and ideas and help to organise and structure this in order to be able to develop a good first draft.
2) proofreading, editing and feedback on statements. I ask that this is sent to me and I work on this to make track changes feedback and will send back to the student. This is charged at a rate per hour. I aim to provide detailed feedback on content and structure. Where appropriate I will also make suggestions for additional ideas or points that are missing and should be included. Some students may want an online session to discuss afterwards.
Some students may need both of these sessions, others may already have a draft and just require support with proofreading, editing and feedback.
