There are eight essential executive functioning skills. The three that I focus on developing with students are flexible thinking, planning and prioritizing, task initiation, and organization.
I worked with an executive functioning tutor for several years in high school. The skills and strategies I learned have helped me tremendously in my academic career.
I will work with students to develop time management, study skills, and good learning patterns.
Having been in tutoring before, I know how boring it can be for students, especially those struggling with cognitive functioning. I work hard to keep students engaged over zoom and create a fun and cohesive environment for learning.
