About Nelini
My name is Nelini Weerasekara and I'm a student currently undertaking a Bachelor degree in Engineering (Honours). Growing up as the daughter of a statistics specialised senior lecturer, my mother was the biggest influence in my love for maths. I wish to influence the same interest into you and show the world of maths in a better light.

As a tutor I understand the importance of going at the pace of the student and being able to teach in a way that the student will understand, but also to challenge them to help improve their math-solving abilities. The lesson I teach is Mathematics and the duration will be dependent on the student’s progress. The first lesson will preferably be a small discussion on how well they understand the subject and their level for their specific age/school year. Lessons conducted by me will be a time to help the student fully grasp the concept or a specific chapter in maths they may have been struggling with as well as conveying any doubts or questions they might have. In addition after getting a double-promotion in high school which lead me to graduate at the age of 16 with an equivalent ATAR score of 93 , I can be sure to help the student in whatever way they desire which is within my capability. Mathematics is my favourite subject hence why I am pursuing a degree in Engineering. The lessons are dedicated to students from primary school until year 10.
