I am a current UBC student studying Science. I have experience teaching lessons to kids/youth/adults for 5 years. I teach high school and elementary Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Kimia is patient, kind, and trustworthy to get a lesson done in time. She has made me more responsible with homework due dates. Her flexibility is also a great thing about her! I can message her on the day before my test and she is still willing to put her own time to help me succeed. With the numerous lessons that I've taken with her, I can say that my grades have increased substantially!

During her period of employment, Kimia has shown herself to be responsible, punctual, reliable, and caring. It is evident from watching her instruct children that she cares deeply about her work, and the people whom she interacts with.
Kimia has shown herself to be extremely responsible and is consistently praised by her supervisors for her work ethic and positive attitude.

No tutor has ever come close to exhibiting the level of initiation, connection with students and compassion that Kimia has. She instinctively knows which students need support and encouragement and quickly learns the different ways to get through to and connect with different learners. She is able to work with small groups or even lead activities with the entire class of 30.

One of the characteristics that struck me most about Kimia, is her incredible work ethic. She sets extremely high standards for herself and will put in an incredible amount of time and effort to meet these standards. Kimia’s integrity and sense of what’s right are a core to her being. She will never compromise these values. She makes a great tutor and her students always look forward to learning from her.
