About Kate
History is the fulcrum in Political, International and Domestic development and hence its pertinent to learn about. Growing up I found myself fascinated by the way in which the world was created whether that was by the pyramids in Egypt or the crazy witch hunt in early Britain. At times, however, when one grows academically such passion can be lost, isolated via the pressures of examinations and work. My Job is to show you how one can excel academically whilst also enjoying History. By creating my own History and Politics society and hoping to study Global history at Masters and PHD Level I believe I can help achieve this via enlightening others to how they can achieve a passion and a talent for such a significant subject.

When it comes to exams, I know first hand the expectation students are permitted to reach. My teaching methodology is as follows:-
- I will begin a lesson by asking the students what their hopes are for the session and try to adapt my methods to their needs.
- I start by confirming the structure for essays within the guidance of the mark scheme
- I will then cover the content that the child struggles with.
- I will go through past papers, mark the papers which they struggled with and use examiner-marked papers to assist this.
In terms of qualifications I have achieved a 9 in GCSE History and an A* at A level History widening the scope in which I can assist those who need help. I have also created my history and politics society which helped architect a skill for teaching large groups. Furthermore, I have also received two awards for achievement in History. Correspondingly whilst being an undergraduate of a History and International Relations degree myself I have also helped multiple students previously, raising GCSE grades from a 3/4 to a confirmed 8 in August. I focus on GCSE and A Level Tutoring only

I worked alongside Kate throughout history A level and can wholeheartedly recommend her tutoring services. She helped me develop an effective and coherent essay structure, and had the subject knowledge to answer any content related queries. She is incredibly well spoken, and can deconstruct complex historical events into arguments that are easy to implement in essays. Doing much of my revision with her was invaluable in helping me achieve an A* in A level history, and consequently confirming my place to read PPE at Oxford from October.
