About Emma
My name is Emma Kohl and I am currently a junior at Holy Cross College majoring in Political Science (specializing in political philosophy) with a minor in Education. Due to my unique upbringing, I have had experience working with diverse demographics of individuals, fostering an ability to assimilate and understand the particular needs of different people.

My teaching philosophy is guided by student-centered activity, meaning that lessons will generally be oriented around a particular student's unique interests, goals, learning style, and skill proficiency. Regardless of a student's skill or language proficiency, lessons will aim to develop understanding, critical thinking, and real-life application of knowledge (rather than memorization and recitation-based learning), personalizing the content, materials, and teaching style so that each individual's unique goals and needs are met.
