About Will
Hi I'm Will, and I'm a second-year reading English Literature at the University of Leeds. I am a great tutor because, basically, I've been there and done that and got the t-shirt, as well as fantastic grades across the board.
I think quite unique part of my tutoring is not just a focus on grades but hopefully a greater appreciation of the works you might be studying - they only way you are going to get great grades and it not to feel like pulling teeth is simply to enjoy it - and that really is the main thing!
The first three years of Grammar school were quite hard, English-wise, I wasn't particularly adept, but then at the very start of Year 10 a light came on and I began to adore it. I feel I'm uniquely placed because I've had that experience of moving from indifference towards the subject, to a deep and profound love for it.

I've a profound love for literature, and books, and poems, and drama, and I'd love to help you gain a greater appreciation of the texts you are studying, and help you enjoy the subject more - this is a sure-fire way to get better marks because your understanding deepens and (hopefully) it won't be a chore.
Having been through the whole process myself not two years ago, I know how to get good marks, the various formulas you can apply, and the things markers are looking for.

Will is incredibly passionate about english literature as well as being a patient and genial man. I think he would make an excellent tutor due to his wide and in depth knowledge of western canon. He is a writer as well as avid reader and is a creative person, I think he would be able to find creative and effective ways to teach his tutees. He is a very sound applicant.
