About Carly
My name is Carly. I’m a 2nd year medical student and I love to learn. However, I realise this isn’t the case for some other students and I want to be able to share my love of learning with them in some small way. I try to make my lessons interesting and to keep my students engaged by having you tell me your own thoughts and what you already know. The last thing I want is to make my students feel like I’m wasting their time teaching them what they know already. Additionally, I just want to help students become more confident in their abilities and in the classroom.

I start my lessons with a quick chat about my student’s exam board and areas of difficulty. We then create a plan for the next few sessions regarding the topics to cover. If the topic is unfamiliar then I will spend at least 1 sessions teaching it in depth. I value the use of exam questions so I like to spend a good amount of time practicing with exam questions. I find it is a good way to consolidate learning. I end with a quick chat to take any feedback and note any concerns that we can pick back up next session.
