As a tutor for math, chemistry, and physics I will emphasize major concepts that allow students to build a fundamental set of tools they can use to solve many types of problems. From my experience in the classroom and participating in extracurricular projects as a project leader, I have had the opportunity to teach many students complex topics. The teaching skills learned in these roles have taught me how to curate individual instruction, as the needs for all students are different. For one student, practicing problems and discussing solutions may be more helpful, but for another illustrating concepts may work better. My goal is to figure out which method works best for each student, and assist them to the best of my ability.
