I'm currently a second year Cambridge mathematics undergraduate, mainly interested in teaching Maths and Further Maths at GCSE, A-Level or Undergraduate level and Physics at GCSE and A-Level. I'm also available for specific Oxbridge admissions tutoring. I am DBS checked.
Having self-taught my A-Levels (A*A*A in M, FM and Physics), I have a good perception of what students struggle with and how to motivate and explain the toughest areas concisely and usefully.
My current group of tutees have given me lots of positive feedback with regards to my teaching style and enthusiasm. Many of them have noted a sharp increase in their grades, and more importantly, their understanding of the subject after numerous sessions with me.
I have tutored a few groups of students in the past, mainly over the summer holidays - the feedback, from the students and their parents has been overwhelmingly positive and I've seen clear improvements in their grades and performance at school. My tutoring was limited to sixth form and GCSE mathematics and physics.
Further than that, as a Cambridge student, I've come to know the admissions process quite intimately, especially as I'm involved heavily with admissions and outreach events at Cambridge as well as sitting on the admissions committee of the mathematics department as a student representative.
