About Amy
Hi future students! I am Amy, currently an undergraduate student double majoring in Neuroscience and Chemistry at UCSC. I love to learn and teach things in a fun and interactive way. I taught debate, math, and Chinese before so I have a little bit of teaching experience. I love all aquatic sports including swimming, surfing, and scuba diving. I love to teach in an interactive way through active recall, whiteboards, and more. A typical lesson plan would start with recalling what we learned in the previous lesson through either small verbal quizzes or diagrams. Then we would move on to new materials and examples which we would solve them together step by step. I think the best way to learn any stem subject is through examples. At the very end of the lesson, we would do some fun interactive games to actively recall what we just learned. I believe I am a very fun tutor and because I am currently studying the subject I am teaching, I have more practical ways to actually learn and ace the class. The lessons are intended for anyone who is either taking chemistry or organic chemistry right now or just for anyone who is interested in learning.
