About Tarun
I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Warwick. My course has helped me develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and I have learnt how to handle pressure. Juggling multiple deadlines has taught me to stay organised and keep my work consistent.
I make it a point to work professionally and stay organised. I am reliable, punctual, and always committed to doing my best, whether I am working by myself or as part of a team. I aim to finish tasks efficiently and accurately.
Alongside my studies, I have trained in martial arts, which has helped me build discipline, resilience, and consistency. This experience has made me better at staying focused, keeping calm under pressure, and improving through regular practice.
I am approachable and patient, and I work to communicate clearly and calmly. I understand the value of creating a positive and supportive environment, and I take pride in being someone others can rely on. I always aim to do my work well while staying professional and respectful.

I aim to instil a strong understanding of topics rather than just plain memorisation. First, I identify the strengths and weaknesses of the student. Then, focusing mainly on the weaknesses, I would clear up any misconceptions or confusions, followed by breakdowns of complex ideas. I use real-world examples to make topics easier to visualise and understand.
A typical lesson would be 60 minutes long to allow for a sufficient amount of time to go into depth on certain topics. However, for more challenging topics or exam preparation, I can offer 90-minute lessons if they are required. Lessons will be structured but flexible, including a mixture of explanations, worked examples, and practice questions.
As a Mechanical Engineering student, I have a strong academic background in Maths, achieving top grades at A-level and GCSEs. My studies require me to have problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and a clear understanding of complex concepts, which I will bring into my tutoring. I also have experience helping others understand difficult topics in an approachable and patient way.
My lessons are aimed at students studying GCSE and A-level Maths. I can support a range of abilities, from those who need help building foundational understanding to those aiming for top grades and deeper mastery of the subject.
