About Mya
Hi, I’m Mya! I understand that every student learns differently, so my goal is to create lessons where you feel comfortable, supported, and confident to ask questions. Whether it’s Sociology, Spanish, English, Drama or Performing Arts, I’ll adapt my teaching to suit your learning style and pace. I want my students to enjoy their subjects, feel motivated, and see real progress — not just in grades, but in their self-belief too.

My teaching style is adaptable and student-focused, ensuring lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to an individual’s goals. For academic subjects, I would focus more on clear explanations, discussions, and exam-style practice to build confidence in key skills like analysis, essay writing, and communication. Whereas in creative subjects, a lesson might be more of not just analysing scripts but exploring the script itself, and reflection to encourage confidence and creativity. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, personalised, and effective in boosting both grades and self-belief. My qualifications are as follows; GCSE Spanish (8/A*), GCSE Drama (9/A**), GCSE English (7/A), A-Level Sociology (B) and BTEC Performing Arts (Distinction/A)
