About Chizaram
I am currently a uni student studying law, I used to dread going to maths as somehow everyone always knew what was going on but I never did. I was placed in set 2 from year 7-9 as I did well in my SATs. I was that one kid that taught themselves trigonometry at the age of 11; however once I reached year 9 maths started becoming difficult and hard to understand because I had no one to invest in me. Once I reached year 10, I got a new teacher that was willing to invest in me and before long maths started making sense once again. I went from not understanding what was going on in the lessons in year 9 to becoming the teacher's assistant in year 10 and 11 and also moving up to set 1.
I believe every child needs someone who can invest in them and that’s why I want to tutor. If I can even help one child I’ll be happy.

I used to hate maths in Year 9 but from Year 10 onwards it became my favourite subject and all it took was one teacher who made maths fun and easy to understand. I then went on to study maths at A-levels. I went from getting grade 4s to getting grade 7/8s. Once you truly understand maths it becomes much easier to study it and enjoy it. It only took one person to do it for me and now I want to be that one person to do it for someone else.
In our lessons we will be doing 5-10 minutes of recap questions from previous lesson then go into any area the student is struggling with and answer questions on that topic. To end we will look at past paper questions and tricky questions to challenge them.
