About Georgia
I’ve always loved school and learning new things, and this passion has stayed with me as I’ve grown. Literacy was always my favourite subject, and I love reading, writing, and exploring stories in creative ways. I enjoy sharing that love of learning with others and helping children build their confidence in reading and other subjects. Outside of academics, I’m very active and love sports, especially basketball and hockey. Playing sports has taught me valuable skills such as teamwork, patience, resilience, and leadership, which I also bring into my tutoring and childcare work. Coaching basketball has been a big part of my life, allowing me to support and motivate children in a fun, encouraging environment. In my free time, I enjoy quiet moments with a good book, exploring new stories, and finding ways to make learning enjoyable and engaging. I aim to create positive, supportive, and tailored experiences for children—whether it’s helping with schoolwork, encouraging a love of reading, or keeping learning fun through interactive activities. My goal is to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning in every child I work with.

In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a learning experience that is both fun and personalised for each student. I take the time to understand a child’s strengths, interests, and preferred learning style so that every activity is tailored to what works best for them. For example, if a student enjoys stories or drawing, I can incorporate reading and writing activities into creative games or storytelling exercises. If they enjoy movement or sports, I can use interactive approaches to keep them engaged while learning. Literacy is one of my favourite subjects, so I especially love helping children develop their reading, writing, and comprehension skills in ways that feel exciting rather than like traditional homework. I also support other subjects, helping students with homework, problem-solving, or building confidence in areas they find challenging. Above all, my sessions are designed to be positive, encouraging, and motivating. I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new ideas. By tailoring each session to the individual, I hope to help children not only improve academically but also enjoy learning, feel proud of their achievements, and build a lasting love for education.
