About Cassandra
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of data-focused roles—from research and analytics internships to hands-on projects using Python, statistics, and machine learning. But some of my most rewarding work has been in education: I’ve tutored students across different ages and subjects, helped lead STEM summer camps, and served as a Teaching Assistant for Data Science and Analysis courses, which taught me how to break down complex concepts with patience and clarity. I love empowering students to reach that “aha!” moment -whether they’re tackling their first line of Python code or trying to make sense of a tricky math concept. I bring both real-world experience and a supportive teaching style to every session, meeting students where they are and helping them build confidence step by step. Fun fact about me: my first ever job when I was in high school was to teach swim lessons - I had never been taught how to swim myself

I take a "why?" first approach to teaching - I can tell you the steps behind a formula or how to type out a piece of code all day, but that doesn't mean anything if you don't know how it works. I'll meet you where you're at and help you develop a true understanding of the topic, rather than just how to pass a test! My lessons are ideal for: - Middle and high school students needing support in Pre-Algebra through Calculus or Statistics - College students in intro-level math, data science, or programming courses - Beginners looking to learn Python from scratch or level up their coding for school, research, or career development
