About Mik-El
I’ve been drawing since pre-k. I studied at the College of Design at Iowa State University in the industrial design program with a focus on character design and concept development. I excel at illustration and product sketching, as well as research towards projects. I’ve been doing freelance work for over 10 years, dabbling in logo design, tattoo design, portraits, and cartooning. When I’m drawing for my personal projects, I would describe my style as more comic-cartoon oriented work with influences from anime as far as line work and shading.

I base our art journey on where you are in yours. I see what you know and have you show me your process of creation. In doing so, I’m able to make a custom lesson plan based on your needs and areas of growth. No artist is perfect, no style is best. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I firmly believe we find more about ourselves through our artistic view on life.
