I graduated with MBA from University of North Florida in 2022, currently I’m working on getting my CDI (Certified Deaf Interpreter). During my free time, I love to help and teach people learn ASL culture. I’m an outgoing, very patient person and will always be here with whatever you need!

I’m a Deaf person fluent in ASL. I have been teaching/tutoring students with their ASL classes as well as their interpreting programs for over 10 years. I'd love the opportunity to tutor and help those interested in the ASL culture. We can coordinate a schedule according to your preferred availability.

I've been taking 1-hour lessons with Taj bi-weekly for a few months now, and it was the best decision I could have made. She is a wonderful teacher as well as patient and understanding if you need to reschedule or are having technical difficulties. She's also a wonderful person. We, of course, always have a lesson plan for each meeting, but she has no problem deferring from the plan to have a small side conversation or to help you with a particular area you don't feel strong in yet. If you are interested in learning ASL, I would highly recommend scheduling a lesson with her. I’ve loved my time with her and will continue to take lessons with her.
I'm an international student and I learned American Sign Language for my monologue presentation. There was nothing difficult or challenging about working with Taj.
Taj taught me each line clearly and well, and made me feel confident to do it. She repeated it so I could follow her, and took it slow and easy.

Taj has an amazing attitude and commitment to her students that allow for incredible learning to take place. Her positivity radiates through each lesson and she always greets her students with a smile. While working with students, she reviews previously learned material before incorporating it into the newer lessons.

Taj definitely has the patience when it comes to teaching ASL. She wants to make sure you fully understand the lesson and will break it down for you when needed. She is also super encouraging and doesn’t put you down if you don’t catch on right away. Highly recommend!
I had the pleasure of meeting Taj through work, and she’s lovely. I had taken ASL in school, but it’s been a few years and I’m terribly out of practice. Whenever I tried to communicate with her via sign, I think I had to finger spell every other word but she was endlessly patient, reminding me of signs or teaching me new ones. She’s kind, reliable, and always willing to slow down or repeat herself as needed for you to understand. I’m grateful I was able to work with her and learn from her!
