About Dominic
I am an Architectural Assistant currently working in a Building Services and Engineering Firm, who will be pursuing an MSc in Real Estate this Autumn. I grew up in Hong Kong and studied under the IB system all the way from Primary to Secondary, and completed a BA in Architectural Studies at the University of Hong Kong.
I taught maths up to IB HL level throughout my Undergraduate degree and grew to enjoy helping students achieve their goals and seeing them succeed. I have a variety of experience teaching both privately and through volunteering at charity centres, and have confidence in adapting to different types of student and learning styles.
I understand Maths might not be everyone's favourite subject but fully understand it's importance even after University, and hope to encourage students to develop an interest and passion in the subject. I hope to create a comfortable environment for students to make mistakes and learn from them, to enjoy the lessons but also be driven to succeed.

I tailor lessons to each student, and aim to help them tackle the subject in a methodical way. Whether that be through worked examples, exam practice, or solving challenging questions. I like to break complex concepts into simple analogies and help students truly understand the subject material.
I hope to help students be comfortable in making mistakes, but also understanding why the mistake was made and how to prevent it in the future. Other lesson objectives would be learning how to strategically tackle exams, and helping students develop an interest and passion for the subject.
I am able to teach: GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths, MYP Maths, IB Maths (SL and HL)
