About Nicola
I am a qualified Primary school teacher with a BA (hons) degree in Primary Education. I have been teaching full time for 18 years and have had experiences teaching in all year groups up to and including Year 5. I have been both English and early reading/phonics lead in schools and have achieved excellent results. I believe that all children should be able to access the curriculum and take great care to ensure that this is possible through adaptive and quality first teaching.

I use the first lesson to get to know the child and identify their strengths and areas for development. I then use this to plan work and activities to help support your child and move their learning forward as well as securing their knowledge and understanding in the particular area of focus. I aim to make the learning fun and enjoyable for the child. 1 hour lessons will consist of a mixture of teaching, independent tasks and games/activities designed around your child's needs. I bring all required resources with me as well as a laptop for video clips, games or PowerPoints.
