About Fiza
I am an MS Chemistry scholar specializing in Chemistry, offering online Chemistry tuition for SSC, HSSC, O Level, and A Level students. My academic background has given me a strong, in-depth understanding of Chemistry, which I am passionate about turning into clear, easy-to-follow lessons for school and college students.
My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding matters more than memorizing. Students do better in exams and remember what they learn for longer when they truly understand why something works, not just what to write down. So instead of pushing students to memorize, I focus on breaking down difficult chemistry concepts into simple, logical steps, linking new ideas to what students already know, and helping them think for themselves and solve problems on their own.
I don't use the same method for every student. Some need help building the basics from the start; others are already doing well but need focused practice for board or Cambridge exams. I pay close attention to where each student struggles and adjust my teaching, pace, and practice questions to match, so every lesson is genuinely helpful and not just generic.
Besides subject knowledge, I try to be patient, encouraging, and easy to talk to - someone students feel comfortable asking questions to, without worrying about feeling behind or being judged. My goal is not just to help students pass their exams, but to help them feel truly confident in Chemistry and build thinking skills that go beyond the subject itself.

My teaching approach is student-centered, focused on building strong Chemistry concepts rather than surface-level exam prep. I break down complex topics into clear, logical steps using simple explanations, real-world examples, and structured problem-solving techniques, so students genuinely understand the subject rather than just memorizing it.
Lessons are interactive rather than one-directional; students are encouraged to ask questions, work through problems actively, and think critically about the "why" behind each concept. This combination of explanation, guided practice, and discussion helps build both understanding and confidence.
My methodology includes:
Identifying and addressing conceptual gaps early
Teaching in line with SSC, HSSC, O Level, and A Level syllabus requirements
Encouraging independent problem-solving and analytical thinking
Continuous feedback to track progress and target weak areas
A typical lesson runs 50 to 60 minutes, depending on the student's pace and needs, and usually includes concept explanation, guided practice, and a short revision recap to reinforce what was learned.
