About Antonia
I am a grade 11 student, working very hard towards my grades and my future. Once I graduate I want to be a teacher. I personally enjoy learning, because of that feeling when I finally understand a concept or question and it all falls into place. That's why I want to teach, because I enjoy helping others understand something that confuses them or that they don't get 100%. I love being able to find a way to explain and get my students to feel that feeling when they get it. I know what it's like to sit in class and not know what the teacher is talking about, or get into an exam and know nothing, but I more of know the feeling of being able to answer the teacher's questions, or sit down in front of an exam paper and just know I am about to ace it. I want to be able to help others feel that feeling, and that's the reason I want to tutor.

I like to approach my teaching with firstly understanding what topics a student struggles with and needs help on. I then focus on those topics and slowly work through helping my student understand the basics behind them, once this progression has been achieved, we will practice with guidance until my student is able to understand the topic on their own. A lesson's length will vary depending on the needs of the student, and how much time they require or book, I am flexible. I have tutored successfully for the last 2 years with students at my school in lower grades. I am flexible regarding age of students also. Regardless of who my student is or what level they are at, I love helping them to understand the beautiful German language.

Perfect! Antonia is an incredibly positive and encouraging tutor. In just one month of learning German with her, my son has gone from disliking the language and struggling with it at school (where it’s compulsory) to becoming confident and motivated. He now practises on his own and even slips German into everyday conversations to show off from time to time. It’s been a truly remarkable transformation, and I hope he continues to improve with her guidance.

I had 2x 1.5 hour sessions a week, managed to keep up full marks the whole year. Scored a 98 atar, on ways to med school now!
I can confirm I definitely tested Antonia’s patience, but she was amazing, always helping me understand everything at the pace I needed. I made huge progress, and my German grades have at last reached an A.
Antonia has tutored me in German at school for the last 6 months, and has improved my german results from a 57% in term 1, to a 91% in my recent exam. Props to her for her patience and excellent teaching skills :)
