I’m a guitar tutor with 14 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition, with a focus on guitar. I perform and compose regularly, which keeps my approach fresh and inspired. My teaching approach centers on building a strong rhythmic foundation for guitar players. I focus on rhythm guitar techniques, exploring strumming patterns, picking dynamics, and groove development across various genres. Developing a solid sense of timing and feel is essential for any guitarist, and I work closely with students to achieve this.
I’m especially skilled at working with The Fingerstyle Enthusiast and The Worship Leader, guiding them through the nuances of rhythm and groove. Through clear, consistent feedback, I help students sharpen their timing and expressiveness. We break down complex rhythms into manageable parts and practice them until they become natural.
Lessons are interactive and tailored to your goals, whether that’s mastering a worship song or perfecting fingerstyle rhythms. You’ll learn to listen deeply to the music and feel the pulse in your playing. My goal is to help you confidently lay down the perfect rhythm that supports any song.
