About Eleanor
I am a nearly graduated primary school teacher with experience tutoring both primary age children and university students in literacy and other subjects. I have taught in classroom settings years 1 to 6, and am experienced in applying individual learning techniques to students' own needs.

My teaching method involves carefully assessing a child's existing knowledge, weaknesses and interests and using them to create a personalised learning experience from which they can get the most benefit. Once an individual approach has been decided, I use this information to create engaging, interesting and useful activities that help students with their problem areas while expanding on what they already know. I work with parents to establish goals and my knowledge of curriculum guidelines means I can thoroughly cover topics on which they will be assessed.
