I am a dedicated reading and phonics teacher with a strong foundation in early literacy instruction and a passion for helping students become confident, capable readers. My teaching is rooted in research-based phonics practices, clear skill progression, and an understanding of how children learn to read step by step. I believe that strong reading skills open the door to success in every subject, and I take that responsibility seriously. Lessons are structured but flexible, using multi-sensory techniques such as speaking, listening, reading, writing, and movement to help students truly internalize skills. I regularly check for understanding and adjust instruction to match each learner’s pace and needs.
A typical lesson includes:
A quick review of previously learned sounds or patterns.
Explicit teaching of a new phonics skill (sound, spelling pattern, or rule).
Guided practice with blending, word reading, and spelling.
Application through decodable text or short reading passages.
A brief wrap-up to reinforce success and build confidence.
