About Xavier
Hello! My name is Xavier Yu, and I’m a flute major at Sydney Conservatorium High School. I’ve been playing the flute for over 7 years. Music has been a big part of my life, and I love sharing it with others — especially younger students who are just starting their journey. Alongside music, I also really enjoy math, and I’m confident in helping primary school students (Kindergarten to Year 6) strengthen their math skills in a way that’s clear, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting. I started teaching because I enjoy seeing students discover what they’re capable of. Whether it’s playing a beautiful melody on the flute or solving a tricky math problem, I love watching them grow and feel proud of themselves. My goal is to make learning fun, supportive, and meaningful — not stressful! If you're looking for a tutor who understands what it’s like to be a student, and who brings energy, kindness, and clarity to every lesson, I’d love to work with you!
