About Blair
With 14 years of tutoring experience, I have had the pleasure of teaching piano to over 250 high school and college students. My passion for education drives me to create a welcoming and inspiring learning environment. I believe every student has a unique musical voice, and I strive to help them discover it.
One of my proudest milestones was leading a group of students in a successful recital, showcasing their hard work and talent. I enjoy setting achievable goals and celebrating each student’s progress, fostering a love for music that lasts a lifetime. My teaching methodology for piano focuses on creating a personalized learning experience. I adapt to each student's learning style, whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. Flexibility is key; I adjust my lessons based on individual progress and interests.
I emphasize motivation by setting achievable goals and celebrating milestones, helping students feel a sense of accomplishment. I create a supportive environment where empathy is vital, allowing students to express their challenges and emotions freely.
In addition to piano, I also offer lessons in music theory and composition. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music while ensuring each student develops their unique musical voice. Together, we’ll explore the joy of playing and understanding music!
