About Shiva
I am a university student with a strong background in French and previous tutoring experience and working with students. Through these experiences, I've learned the importance of encouragement especially when working with younger students. I enjoy working with students and helping them feel more confident.
I am patient, flexible, and understanding, and I know every student learns differently. Having gone through the Ontario school system myself, I understand the types of difficulties students can have with French. My goal is to make French less intimidating and help students improve academically.

My lessons are focused on helping students understand French in a clear, comfortable, and encouraging way. I adapt my teaching style to each student's level and goals rather than using the same approach for everyone.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of what we worked on previously, followed by a new concept. Depending on the student's needs, we may work on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, conversation, or school assignments. Concepts will be explained step by step, practice questions will be done together. Lessons will be interactive through usage of examples. My goal is for students to feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
My lessons are best suited for elementary and high school students, beginners, and students who would like extra support.
