About Marwa
I'm a friendly and welcoming person who is eager to help others. As someone who has done a lot of exams in their life, and gone through GCSEs and A-levels, I've learnt a lot of tips and tricks that has made studying easier and more enjoyable which I would like to pass on to my students so that they can achieve the grades they deserve.
I am extremely patient and empathetic with my tutees and my number one priority is to make the subject enjoyable by ensuring each student understands everything throughout the lesson and any concerns are addressed.

My lessons usually run for an hour- often going slightly over if needed to address any questions a student may have. I like to run my lessons using 3 steps. This includes:
1. Introducing the topic- explaining what it is about and the basic concepts behind the topic
2. Working through exam questions relating to the topic- I start off by demonstrating a few questions to the student on my own, and then working together on the next few until the student is comfortable to attempt the questions on their own. Any mistakes or misunderstandings are addressed as the student is answering each question to ensure the student does not continue to make the same mistakes throughout the lesson
3. Summarising everything covered in the lesson and having a little conclusion exercise that consolidates their knowledge and the skills they have developed during the lesson
I believe following this approach allows the lesson to remain structured and organised without overwhelming the student with too much information, and allows them to slowly build their confidence on the topic until they can answer questions independently. I always use exam style questions during all of my lessons as I believe that doing past paper questions allows students to apply their knowledge of a topic early on which helps to build confidence so they can do the same in an exam.
