About Julie
I believe the best knlowedge you get from nursing is through experience. I have been a nurse for 4 years and am still constantly learning. I love having nursing students, and new nurses to precept. Every person has different learning styles, and I am always adapting different ways to teach in order to give my students and new nurses the best outcome.

I have been an RN for 4 years now and have worked in a variety of environments. I started out on a Medical/Surgical floor, but predominantly had surgery patients. This job was at a Level 1 hospital, which allowed me to see patients travel from all over the state to work with these surgeons. I now reside in New York and work on a Stepdown floor. I love the Stepdown floor because your ratio is less, and patients are more critical. It gives you the opportunity to really think about what is going on with your patients. I have precepted many new nurses and discovered a passion for teaching. I love helping new nurses find their groove in this ever changing and challenging field!
