About Muz
I feel I am at a point where I have accumulated enough knowledge and experience to teach and help others. I am predominantly self-taught and I believe having an organic, inquisitive and playful approach to learning is the best way to develop. Having said that, developing focus, discipline and structure is fundamental to every design principle. I hope to give lessons on the basics of design from initial conceptualisation (Blue sky thinking - How I imagine ideas and solutions), ideation (the process of developing ideas), design thinking, soft skills (selling your vision); to the technical aspects (Adobe suite etc). I’ll give you an understanding of where you should follow rules and where you should bend them in order to create truly meaningful designs. Lessons will depend on your level but we can start with what you know. Initially, we can identify gaps (if any) and weak points and take it from there. If you’re a beginner, I’ll give you a rundown of the fundamentals then we can tackle some basic design challenges together. The end goal is to help you develop that keen eye for detail while also building up your confidence to move forward and take brave new steps. I also tutor and mentor more in-depth lessons around UX/UI design and design thinking for anyone who wants a career in UX/UI design. The rate for this is £45 p/h. I currently mentor and am looking to further my teaching career. In my 25 years, I have worked in over 15 design agencies. Projects range from in-car entertainment systems, mobile apps to large scale projections and VR interactives. My software skills are in: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Rhino 3D, Cinema 4D, XD, Figma, Sketch, Conceptual blue sky thinking and many more. I can teach any of my skills, from the very basics to help you understand the software packages I use on every project; so I can help you gain new skill and also show you how I work and operate to tight deadlines.
