At UCLA, I’ve earned a full-ride Music Scholarship, first place winner award scholarship of the 23rd Rubinyi competition, and the NMSC National Merit scholarship. Past accomplishments include: 2021 Northern Regional Winner of MTAC Piano Concerto Competition, Division III and MTAC CM Advanced Level Theory Exam Score of 149/150.
I graduated with double degrees in Computer Science and Piano Performance and I study painting and arts as well.
With 16+ years of private instruction from:
- Dr. Inna Faliks, Head of the UCLA piano department and celebrated international pianist
- Professor Hans Boepple, Department of Music Chair in Santa Clara University, Steinway International Artist
- My grandmother, Shanghai Conservatory of Music Professor and Graduate
I aim to celebrate the inherent, characteristic creativity of my students. After all, my love for piano began with Skype, from improvising and experimenting to my heart's content with my grandma on the other side of the world.
My repertoire spans from Baroque to Contemporary, as I believe there's gems to be found in any period that speak to you in particular. My goal is to help students discover, express, and enjoy themselves through these gems and gradually come to own them.

I'm happy to tailor lessons for levels intermediate to collegiate to ensure each student is equipped to play to their heart's content. We’ll choose pieces that align with your tastes, goals, and skill level, and I’ll provide practical strategies from my personal experience to address any challenges you may face.
The process of learning any piece involves three main aspects—technique, musicality, and artistry—and we’ll build your skills in each area step by step at your pace. I believe in taking the time to help you build confidence in your interpretation of each piece.
