About Zandré
Sport is my first love and I would love to train the next Pro!
I have received training from various pristine coaching agencies during my athletics career, including "Pierre Blignaut Gewigstoot en Diskus Akademie" and Stellenbosch's exclusive "Maties High Performance Athletics Academy".
What I can say, is that personal One-on-one coaching makes a huge difference in the attention to detail of the coach and the improvements of the athlete! And this is where I come in :).
I am a former Semi-Professional Discuss athlete, having started Discuss and Shot Put in grade 4 and retiring in my 3rde year of varsity to focus on my Civil Engineering studies.
I've participated in SA Athletics and ASA consecutively and had the top coaches in the country train me.
I was in Huis Neetling - the Sport Hostel of Stellenbosch University, where the only way to keep your place is to perform in accordance with their world class standards (here is where I learned to manage pressure and burnout).
I have learned valuable skills when it comes to the technique and mental focus require to be a top athlete in discuss and I hope to share this with the next SA Pro.

Details
Students are encouraged to bring their own Discuss/shot put they would throw in competition to increase familiarity during training and competition.
The athletics track that the student has access to (at their school or university) will be the primary area of the training sessions, unless the weather prevents outside track training.
A 30min free online session will determine the student's needs and goals and guide the training plan we will follow.
A minimum rate of R350 will apply per one hour session, which will be focused to the students needs. Professional tips and insight will be provided during these sessions.
A comprehensive training program will be provided to the athlete to follow during the week after the first 3 official sessions. This will focus on key movements for strength, speed and flexibility.
Additional rates will apply:
1. If the coach is required to travel to a specific site for the athlete's competitions, if the athlete wishes to have the coach their on the day.
2. For a nutrition plan for on and off seasonal training.
3. Travelling to the designated athletics stadium or indoor training facility (R4/km)
4. Equipment (Discuss or shot put) needed for training.
