About Kareem
I am a PhD researcher in high energy physics and astronomy specialising in particle physics, who works with my most recent focus being in neutrino physics.
I have been giving lessons in a variety of subjects (not just maths and science) for over 15 years over a multitude of levels, including PhD level research.
I have two Masters degrees in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, and am about to complete my PhD in the coming months.

In one-to-one tutoring sessions, no matter which level, before we even enter the lesson you'll do a short questionnaire so we can find out what examination you are preparing for, which topics you feel strongest in and which topics you'd like to improve. Within a 30-minute demo-lesson, we will jump straight in and cover a sample topic or question from your curriculum for two reasons: so that you get a sense for my teaching style, and so I can gauge in real-time what level you might be working at, where we will also spend some time to go over your answers to the questionnaire and come up with a dynamic plan to enable you to exceed your potential in the coming weeks. Phew, that's the hard part!
During our lessons, the delivery will adapt slightly and has some fluidity: Sometimes, if there is a topic you wish me to give you a lesson on, I'll do so, but most often you will be practicing questions, with me guiding you whenever you find difficulties, or adjusting the level of the question in a particular topic to suit your ability and pave the way for you to achieve your potential as the difficulty might increase slightly! be it from an exercise book, or examination style questions, challenging yourself and practicing is hugely encouraged. But most importantly, as your tutor, if you have any kind of question about the subject, even a small one that you might feel shy about asking, rest assured it is my job to address each and every one of them.
The style does change for those who have shorter time constraints who need to learn faster, as we will almost exclusive work on exam questions with less focus on discussion, to optimise exam success, over passion for the subject!
Most importantly, each lesson is aimed to maximise your success, so if you feel you need to focus in understanding a topic, or you feel you want to only work on practice problems in preparation for an exam, I'll do my absolute best to suit your needs and requests.
If the lesson wasn't enough, you will also receive practice problems from me to do before our next lesson, to make sure you are able to ace any question!
I'll also provide you feedback, so that in your preparations you know exactly which topics you should dedicate time into revising and which ones you've already mastered.
