About Savannah
Teaching exists because I find the mechanics of music endlessly fascinating to deconstruct. Sitting at the bench with a student in Seattle, I often notice the moment their hands stop fighting the keys. My 9 years of teaching have taught me that rigor matters just as much for an adult hobbyist as it does for a college audition candidate.
My BMus from the Curtis Institute of Music informs my methodical approach to technique. I have worked with a wide range of students to rebuild their playing from the ground up. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about your musical goals.

Weekly practice modules are assigned with every class to ensure consistent progress. Pedalling technique and chord voicing form the core of my technical framework for students.
I integrate ear training and sight transposition to help you develop a complete musical vocabulary. My Curtis training ensures that every technical exercise is purposeful. You will find that mastering these foundational skills makes the actual process of playing far more enjoyable. It is gratifying to watch students finally play with the ease they have sought for so long.
