About María Georgina
My teaching experience began as an undergraduate student in Anthropology and continued for a few years after obtaining my degree, a total of 7 years. I participated in two university chairs regarding anthropological theory in of the Career of Anthropology, one of professional training ("Medical Anthropology" for the Carrer of Kinesiología) and one at a postgraduate level ("Social anthropology and spatial impacts"). The groups of students vary between 15 and 30 students. At the same time, I have taken support classes between students from different years and have helped them to prepare their subjects and to succeed.

My basic studies (degree) are in socio-cultural anthropology. During my doctoral studies, although I continued in this field, I revisited other fields, linked to the political sciences, sociology, epistemology and qualitative and quantitative methodologies used in such fields. This background enables me to offer classes at academic levels (my teaching experience is at university level), but also professional training and baccalaureate. The social issues present a complexity as rich as, sometimes, overwhelming. In a class, I am interested in reaching them from a presentation that compromises the reality of the student, talking about their environment and that which connects with the subject. The interaction with the student is, therefore, fundamental. From this will give off anecdotes, doubts and connections that give another meaning and validity to the "information" presented. Also, something fundamental to the study of social issues is to develop a critical and ample look and for that reason, I believe that its promotion is a constituent part of the education of the social sciences in general.
